This universal disc player can play a wide range of disc formats and lossless audio tracks. Routing through Arcana prevents an older TV or projector from limiting audio quality.
Arcana extracts audio from the HDMI signal before a TV or projector can restrict it. A compatible soundbar or receiver can therefore receive the best available soundtrack while the video signal continues to the display.
Arcana is sufficient for one display and an eARC soundbar. Arcana 2 provides a better route to an HDMI AVR plus display.

The settings above are the starting point. These are the things that most often go wrong on this specific device.
This single setting decides whether the Arcana ever sees Dolby TrueHD or DTS-HD MA. A player left on PCM decodes internally and sends an already-unpacked multichannel stream, which is exactly what people mistake for a broken eARC link.
Streaming Atmos fits within ARC; the TrueHD Atmos on a UHD Blu-ray does not. A disc player is therefore the source where extracting audio before the TV makes the largest audible difference.
This player can send video on one HDMI output and audio on the other, which already solves the splitting problem on its own. In that case the Arcana earns its place for the other things it does: EDID control, scaling, HDCP handling, and giving a soundbar an eARC input it would not otherwise have.
